Additive manufacturing (AM) is a revolutionary technology that is changing the manufac-turing business model and the maintenance and sustainment communities it supports. In May 2016, America Makes and the Department of Defense (DoD) conducted the first AM Business Model Wargame, a simulation that focused on the business transactions in-volved when DoD requires that repair parts be additively manufactured at a DoD depot or third-party location to support immediate readiness goals. In response to the 2016 wargame, the AM Business Model Planning Group, consisting of members from the Ad-ditive Manufacturing for Maintenance Operations Working Group and America Makes, was formed to build upon the business model aspects of AM for sustainment. The result-ing event, AM Business Model Wargame II, took place in May 2017 at the Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center in Arlington, Virginia.
